Arco Environmental – Accreditations

We hold a full asbestos removal licence making us fully qualified within UK legislation. Our workers undergo continuous training keeping them fully up to date in terms of accreditations, and with developments within the industry.

In addition, Arco Environmental Ltd are approved contractors for Constuctionline and Chas. Arco Environmental have been full members of the Asbestos Removal Contractors Association (ARCA) since 1983.

We also gained the Site Audit Accreditation Scheme in 2004 and are members of the Safe Contractor scheme.

 With hard work, dedication and training from all of our employees, we have been able to achieve both a ISO 14001 and a OHSAS 18001 Certification.

ISO 14001 is an Environmental Management System (EMS) which provides a structure for measuring and improving an organisation’s environmental impact. ISO 14001 focuses on the external environment, to reduce pollution and comply with regulations.

OHSAS 18001, Occupational Health and Safety Assessment Series, is an internationally applied British Standard for occupational health and safety management systems. OHSAS 18001 focuses on managing an organization’s internal environment to ensure a safe and healthy workplace for all employees. There are a number of requirements in which will be looked at during the process of this certification. These requirements include consultation, training, incident reporting, emergency responses, health surveillance, health monitoring and risk management.

Arco Environmental Ltd have also attained ISO 9001 accreditation in 1994 with the National Quality Assurance (NQA).
