About Arco Environmental Asbestos Services
A Brief History
Arco Environmental Ltd was formed in 1979 by the founding members of the company, Russell Sharpley and Peter Clegg. After 30 years spent successfully managing the business, they retired in July 2015.
The business is now being managed by Ron Heyfron. Ron has over 30 years experience in both the asbestos consultancy and asbestos removal industries. He works alongside Jim Grant the Operational Director and Steve Rees the Commercial and Financial Director.
In 2015 Arco relocated to modern and bespoke premises at Unit 8 Ashton Gate, Romford. With these new facilities the company has continued to recruit and build on our expertise. This has allowed us to support an ever increasing client base.
By building on our expertise we have been able to grow our surveying and consultancy services within Arco Environmental. By moving to an online database system, we are offering a full suite of surveying and consultancy services to new and existing customers at no extra charge.

With a background in asbestos consultancy Ron has over 30 years experienced within the asbestos industry. Knowledgeable in all elements of asbestos he oversees all aspects of the company and delivers Arco Environmental’s management and quality systems.
Tracey Carlisle
Office and Removal Administrator
As Removal Administrator, Tracey works alongside Jim to deliver Arco Environmental’s varying asbestos removal projects on time, to budget and to a high level of quality.
Matt Chipperfield
Contracts Manager
As Arco Environmental’s longest standing Contracts Manager, Matt has a strong background in asbestos removals having begun as a removal’s operative and worked up through site supervisor roles to become a contracts manager.
Steve Rees
Commercial and Financial Director
The owner of Arco Environmental, Steve is the soul of Arco Environmental and his values of honesty, professionalism and integrity embody the company’s identity. As the Commercial and Financial Director he is responsible for ensuring the growth and stability of the business.
Adele Rees
Purchasing
A key part of the financial and business element of Arco Environmental, Adele is responsible for the overall financial running of the company including invoicing, payroll and purchasing.
Liam Shorter
Surveying Manager
The head of Arco Environmental’s surveying division, Liam is an experienced asbestos surveyor with an established history of surveying and bulk sample analysis. Since joining the company in 2018 Liam has rapidly grown the companies surveying and consultancy capacity.
Jim Grant
Operational Director
Jim is an experienced asbestos professional with a demonstrated history of working across the construction and real estate industry. At Arco Environmental he is responsible for the operational running of the company with a focus on the removals division.

Finance and Credit Control
Working in the financial and business department of Arco Environmental, Lara supports Adele and Steve to ensure the smooth financial running of the business.
